Built in the 1730s yet incorporating part of the Norman city walls, the Roman Worthgate and the only remaining section of the original city moat, the Castle House Hotel is a beautiful historic building with monument status. Just a few minutes walk from the main city, Cathedral and a wealth of bars and restaurants, with Canterbury West Train Station close by.The hotel is one of the few in Canterbury with free off road parking.  Situated opposite Canterbury's Norman Castle it has a pretty walled garden, making it an ideal city escape.

A truly pleasant experience

Located in an excellent area, offering great connectivity and just a short walk from the town center. The property itself was impressively neat and clean, with well-maintained rooms...I would highly recommend Castle House Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located stay, backed by top-notch service.

Room a good size and comfortable

Our room was a good size and comfortable. The breakfast was good and the garden in the back was nice. Location was in the quieter part of town but only a short walk to the center of old town. My only complaint is no A/C, but there was a fan in the room and it wasn't too hot
